
We are pleased to announce excellent results regarding the satisfaction of our customers in the diaspora who open accounts through the BT Pay app. The Net Promoter Score (NPS) for this experience is 86 (out of 100), one of the highest recorded in BT’s customer satisfaction survey for 2025 and the first months of 2026.
Profile of customers in the diaspora, according to the study:
- They are highly self-reliant when interacting with Banca Transilvania online.
- They use or intend to use their BT account to receive recurring income from Romania (salary, pension, scholarship, allowance), for occasional income, savings, investments, testing BT solutions, and maintaining a financial connection with Romania.
- They chose the app mainly based on recommendations (nearly 50%), information found online (on the BT website, on social media, and through AI-powered searches—approximately 45%), as well as interactions with our colleagues in Romania, Italy, and the Republic of Moldova, where the Banca Transilvania Group has a physical presence.

BT Pay helps Romanians manage their money anytime, anywhere, and stay financially connected with family and friends in Romania. BT Pay eliminates the need to visit a bank branch for those who wish to become customers of Banca Transilvania. New customers have immediate access to all the app’s features and receive their digital debit card instantly within the app, followed by their physical card at one of the bank’s branches or at the address of their choice. The card can be funded either via IBAN transfer or by adding a card from another bank to BT Pay. The app can be downloaded from Google Play, the App Store, and Huawei AppGallery.
Where do most of BT Pay's new customers live?
10% of the bank’s new customers who open an account through the BT Pay app live or study abroad, with most of them in the United Kingdom, Moldova, Italy, Germany, and Spain.
